Healthy Habits Challenge

Updated: Apr 1

Commences Monday

Big changes start with small steps.

Hello pilates lovers

Through reflection on conversations with many of our clients over the past few weeks, it has occurred to me that many of us struggle with finding balance in our busy lives.

There's always so much to do right?

Prioritising self-care can be difficult but it's important for maintaining good health and healthy relationships with others and it's one of the best things we can do for ourselves and those around us. Especially our children.

But, sometimes implementing new habits can be hard because we bite off more than we can chew. For example we may decide we want to lose weight and say,

'That's it! I'm going to walk for an hour and a half every day.' Whilst that might be realistic for some, for many of us it's hard to implement due to time constraints, health conditions and fitness levels and so we give up after one or two walks and feel like we've failed.

A more successful approach might be that we aim for a 15 minute walk every second day. This may not seem like much compared to that idealistic hour and a half, BUT, your chance of success is much higher and so you can build towards a larger goal.

So to set you up for success, I've put together, 4 'bite size' healthy habits that you can implement week by week that will undoubtedly leave you feeling better than before.

They are short (5 minutes), simple and the goal is to implement them for at least 7 days.

At the end of that week you will be able to choose whether that habit works for you and if you think it's a keeper. You will see the 4 healthy habits in our blogs tab on the app or website.

Best of luck on this 4 week Healthy Habit Challenge and remember:

Big changes start with small steps
